Pragati Metal Corporation supplies SS 310H Round Bars from its Mumbai facility, covering diameters from 3 mm to 500 mm with lengths cut to customer requirement. Every bar ships with a full mill test report tracing the heat back to raw billet. Grade 310H carries a carbon content between 0.04% and 0.10%, which separates it from standard 310 in one critical way: it holds creep strength at temperatures above 800°C where lower-carbon grades begin to soften and deform under sustained load. Two decades of thermal cycling in furnace components showed engineers exactly why carbon content matters here.
Grade 310H resists oxidation up to 1150°C in continuous service and handles carburizing atmospheres that degrade lower-alloy steels within weeks of exposure. The chromium content, held between 24% and 26%, builds a dense oxide layer that reforms at the surface even after mechanical damage. Nickel at 19% to 22% stabilizes the austenitic structure through temperature swings that would drive phase transformation in duplex or ferritic grades, keeping dimensional stability intact across long service cycles.

At Pragati Metal, procurement starts with mill-certified billet only. No bar enters production without traceable heat documentation that follows the material from ingot to final inspection. Our manufacturing team rolls and finishes each bar to ASTM A276 and ASME SA276 dimensional tolerances. All parts are subject to hardness testing, intergranular corrosion testing as per ASTM A262 Practice E, Positive Material Identification and tensile verification before dispatch. Third Party Inspection such as SGS or Bureau Veritas can be arranged at the time of export order if required.
Industries running equipment above 700°C form the core customer base for this grade. Petrochemical furnace tubes, ammonia converter internals, heat treatment baskets, and power plant superheater supports all demand the creep resistance that 310H delivers over standard 304 or 316 alternatives. In food processing lines that employ high temperature steam sterilization and pharmaceutical reactors that are subject to autoclave cycles, the 310H is required because of surface stability at elevated temperatures reduces contamination risk and significantly increases the life of component replacement intervals.
Pragati Metal packs each shipment in wooden crates lined with polyethylene sheeting to block moisture ingress during sea freight. All documentation, covering the mill test report, packing list, heat certificate, and country of origin certificate, ships with the order. Please contact us to enquire about stock sizes or for a quotation for cut to size bars in the diameter you require.
