SS 321 is a basic austenitic 18/8 steel stabilized with the addition of Titanium. Grade SS 321 is used in the temperature range of up to about 900C, combining high strength and resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to aqueous corrosion. Due to the higher content of carbon, it improves high-temperature strength. SS 321H is stabilized by an addition of niobium to resist intergranular corrosion. SS 321/321H has developed for enhanced creep resistance and higher strength at temperatures above 1000F.
